Distorted Vision

I have worn the same glasses for over a year and a half. I’d gotten so accustomed to wearing them every day that I hadn’t noticed how many scratches and marks stretched across the frames. I truly believed the distortion I was seeing everyday was the truth.

Our culture’s lenses have deteriorated, and like me with my glasses, some of us haven’t even noticed. We truly believe the way we see relationships, success, happiness and more Is clear.

Today, my new glasses arrived in the mail. I slipped on these bad boys and my eyes instantly widened. Everything was clear and bright! I was instantly annoyed that I’d been walking around with a clouded filter for so long.

God’s view is clear and true. It doesn’t change with trends or shift based on feelings. His word is an exact prescription that leads us to the truth, not popular belief. Would you like to see life clearly? Remove the dirty lenses of this world by picking up His book of truth. Have you picked up your bible recently? Have you tried on His Word by reading, believing, and acting on what He says? I want you to see what I’m seeing sis! .

John 14:15-17 (MSG) “If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you. I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend so that you will always have someone with you. This Friend is the Spirit of Truth. The godless world can’t take him in because it doesn’t have eyes to see him, doesn’t know what to look for. But you know him already because he has been staying with you, and will even be in you! .
