If it's Real

When Josh and I had our DTR (define the relationship) and made it official that we were “together”, it only took about a week for me wonder why we weren’t “facebook official” yet. Call me crazy, but to me being facebook official meant that he wanted to claim me and proclaim that I was his!

When you love someone, you aren’t ashamed of them. You don’t hide that you are in a relationship, you claim it and proclaim it. It wouldn’t have felt very good if Josh had said, “Hey Kariss, I want to be with you. But, I don’t want anyone to know. Let’s just keep it our little secret.” I don’t know about you, but that’s not how I role.lol God is the same. He doesn’t want to be hidden. He wants the people around you to know that you are His. Being in a relationship with God isn’t just showing up for dates (ahem.. church), it’s all through out the week. It’s a RELATIONSHIP. I know my relationship wouldn’t work on dates alone. It’s an everyday/all day thing for us. Do the people around you know that you’re in a relationship or are you hiding the man who is supposed to be your main? Is your relationship a daily thing or are you relying on a once a week Sunday morning date? I’m telling you, that’s not enough. That’s not how relationships work sis.

Luke 9:26 “If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.”
